This insert is designed to answer many questions people have about what Feng Shui is and what it is not:
Many people undertand Feng Shui as a kind of or style of interior design and classify it as such, when in fact, the two are entirely different things. Feng Shui is not interior design any more than apples are oranges. Feng Shui focuses on the interrelationship of energies, and how to redirect their flow more so than coordinating color schemes and buying decorative good luck objects or arranging furniture. To further clarify some of the hazy impressions of Feng Shui it should be noted that many years ago, wealthy Chinese residents did use good luck objects to decorate their homes, but they were seldom to never used in the context of Feng Shui. Instead, they were used as a part of their culture. The concept of placement of objects and good luck items in the home was a fad introduced and passed-off as Feng Shui in the 90's. this is not to deter from the quality and utility of specialty Feng Shui Shops that sell recommended items. It is just to say that our practicioners can work with what you have, often effecting the changes you desire without your having to buy all kinds of expensive items for your home.
